AD Mines Department

This office was created as per the orders of the Director of Mines & Geology, Hyderabad issued vide Memo No:11293/E1/2016-1 dtd: 18-02-2019 after formation of Mulugu as new District in State of Telangana vide G.O.Ms.no.18 Revenue (DA-CMRF) Department, dt.16-02-2019. This office carries out the functions of mineral Regulatory, Promotional and collection of Mineral revenue to the State exchequer.

The following officers and staff have been directed by Director of Mines & Geology, Hyderabad, to work temporarily in the office of the Asst. Director of Mines & Geology, Mulugu on deputation basis. The office is established purely on Temporary basis drawing staff working in other offices on deputation basis No post is sanctioned yet

The Mulugu District is mainly endowed with Major minerals like Iron–ore and Minor Minerals like Laterite, Dolomite, Colour Granite and Building Stone & Road Metal.       The following leases are in force both Major and Minor Minerals in the district.

SAND:

(20) Specified Sand Bearing Areas in Godavari River were approved by District Level Sand Committee and handed over to the M/s. Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation, Hyderabad for calling Mining Plan, Environmental Clearance and Consent for Operation from TSPCB.

Mineral Revenue Targets 2019-20 fixed by the Government

This office is a Revenue earning department. The Government fixed a mineral Revenue Target of Rs.1212.48 Lakhs for the year 2019-20. The mineral revenue achievement up to January 2020 is Rs.122.85 Rs. in Lakhs
