Recruitment of Bare Foot Technicians – DRDA Mulugu

Application Invited for the posts of BFT ( Bare foot Technicians) Under MGNREGS in Mulugu District -2021 (As per the Commissioner of PR&RD, Hyderabad, Lr.No:  2357/EGS/ BFT/PM (SP)/2017,  Dt:15.03.2021 and File.No.: EGS/HR/SALR/0002/2020-AO-MLG MGNREGS, Note Approved by the District Colletor, Mulugu on date:24.03.2021).

The Commissioner, Rural Development TS, Hyderabad vide above references cited has stated that the Ministry of Rural Development has issued detailed guidelines on Barefoot Technicians in Telangana State to improve the quality of works by providing Technical inputs and worksite supervision of MGNREGS works in Mulugu district.

 Eligibility:- The following is the eligibility criteria for selection as BFTs:

  • The candidate’s Households should have worked in the EGS works at least for one day in last 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 till notification date.
  • Should be qualified Diploma (Polytechnic) in Civil engineering or BE/B.Tech (Civil)
  • Shall be resident of the erstwhile District for which being considered.
  • Those who have applied for recent recruitment of TAs and who possessed/satisfied the above criteria 1,2,3 above are also eligible for selection as BFTs.
  • These candidates need not to apply separately for the notification and the DRDO shall shortlist the SC/ST candidates who satisfy the criteria and prepare common merit list of the eligible candidates merging both the applications received online for BFT notification and existing eligible TAs list.

Selection process:  The selection shall be done in the following manner.

  • The selection shall be on the basis of % of marks secured in prescribed qualification.
  • The selection shall be made as per the required No. of SC/ST BFT clusters.
  • After selection preference shall be given to post the candidates nearest to the native BFT cluster.
  • Preferences shall be given to SC/ST and women candidates in such manner that bases on majority population of the GP or habitation where the BFT services required (example GP/habitation is having more than 50% SC/ST population then BFT should select from particular caste only, they can be either male or females.
  • At least half of the selected candidates shall be women.

Training:       The identified BFTs will be trained for 90 days in TSIPARD  campus Rajendranagar Hyderabad. Training schedule will  be communicated soon.

Payment: –  The Barefoot Technicians will be paid as skilled workers from the material component of MGNREGS as per the MoRD guidelines.
